What’s Happening, Mr. Silver? Special episode airs.

Two different versions of the show air simultaneously on two different public broadcasting stations. Viewers with two television sets are instructed to place them six feet apart, and turn on one to Channel 2 and the other to Channel 44. On Channel 2, host David Silver interviews theater director Richard Schechner in black and white. On Channel 44, Silver makes disparaging remarks about his questions in color.
